The Food Safety Act of 1990 provides the framework for health and safety in the industry and is supported by Regulations relating to specific areas of food safety.
The Regulations say that you must:
- identify all steps in your activities that are critical to food safety
- ensure adequate safety controls are in place, maintained and reviewed.
The Industry Codes of Practice assist businesses in interpretation of the legislation to achieve high standards of food hygiene and safety.
Should you have any specific queries you can always 'Ask the Expert'.
